Our Story
We initially came together as a diverse group of Team and Beach Handball enthusiasts, all united by our passion for Team Handball. Many of us are regular members of the SeaDragon’s San Diego Beach Handball Club (SDBHC), and some of us brought valuable experience from regional, national, or even international levels of indoor Team Handball. Drawing from this wealth of expertise, we are confident that our collective experience will contribute to our success in regional and national competitions.
Oh, and by the way: our membership and team practices are open to everybody, regardless of age, gender, and technical background. We are committed to making Team Handball accessible to individuals of all age groups, starting with the introduction of a youth program in various schools across the San Diego area. Our hope is that kids will have the opportunity to participate in a youth Team Handball league right here in California.
The idea of forming a Team Handball club in San Diego felt like a natural progression for us, so our club was founded in August 2023. Our primary objective is to foster a thriving Team Handball community in the San Diego area. We believe that happy players make great competitors, so we prioritize competitive and fun play over aggressive spirit. Our practices are often followed by a convivial social gathering at a local pizzeria.
